Recipe Share | Puffy Taco Shells
After visiting San Antonio, Ken and I fell in love with "the puffy taco". In this video I share my puffy taco shell recipe. The shells are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. So delicious! Puffy Taco Shell Recipe: -2 cups masa harina flour (found at most grocery stores) -1 teaspoon salt -1 1/4 cup warm water Mix all ingredients in a bowl to form a dough ball. let rest 20 minutes. Divide dough into 12 smaller dough balls. Press between ziplock baggie that has the sides cut open. Fry in hot oil, forming into a taco shell shape. It might take a few tries but once you master the technique, these very well may become a family favorite. This is a very affordable alternative to store bought taco shells.
